Guide

What is a voltage regulator?

A voltage regulator keeps the output voltage constant when mains voltage drops or rises, preventing motor failures, burnt electronics and production stoppages.

ELSIPOWER supplies single- and three-phase voltage regulators with site survey, installation and 24/7 technical service.

  • Stable output voltage
  • Prevents equipment failures
  • Surge, overcurrent and short-circuit protection
  • Efficiency and longer equipment life

Voltage regulator types: which one is right for you?

ModelPower rangeHow it worksBest for
Single-phase servo3.5 – 30 kVAMicroprocessor-controlled servo motor corrects voltage smoothly.Homes, offices, shops, clinics, workshops
Three-phase servo10.5 – 400 kVABalances each phase; economical at high power.Factories, production lines, hotels, hospitals
Single-phase static10 – 30 kVAElectronic correction within 20 ms, no moving parts; 97% efficiency.Medical devices, servers, test equipment
Three-phase static30 – 800 kVAFast, silent static regulation with low maintenance.CNC machines, data centers, precision production
Selection

What size voltage regulator do I need?

Add up the connected load, divide by the power factor and add a margin for motor inrush currents. Choose a three-phase model for three-phase machines.

Our engineers measure your mains range and size the regulator during a site survey.

  1. Total load8,000 W
  2. ÷ power factor 0.810 kVA
  3. + 30% inrush margin13 kVA

FAQ

Voltage regulator FAQ

What does a voltage regulator do?

It keeps output voltage constant during sags and surges, protecting your equipment.

Servo vs static regulator?

Servo models correct voltage mechanically and are economical at high power; static models correct electronically, faster and with no moving parts.

Single-phase or three-phase?

Single-phase for homes, offices and single-phase loads; three-phase for factories and three-phase machines.

Does a regulator work during a power cut?

No. A regulator corrects voltage but cannot supply power during an outage — you need a UPS for that.

What affects regulator prices?

Power, phase, technology, input range and options. We prepare a quotation to your needs.

Do you install and service?

Yes, including site survey, installation and 24/7 service.
