What is a converter?
A frequency converter changes 50 Hz mains to 60 Hz (or vice versa) so imported machines run at the right frequency, with double-conversion protection.
A DC/DC converter changes one DC voltage to another — for example charging service batteries from the vehicle alternator in caravans and boats.

What does a frequency converter do?
It feeds 60 Hz equipment from a 50 Hz grid (or vice versa) with stable voltage.
Is it the same as a drive?
No. Drives control one motor’s speed; a frequency converter creates a stable fixed-frequency supply for whole machines.
Why a DC/DC charger?
Smart alternators cannot fully charge service batteries; a DC/DC charger applies the right profile for lithium, AGM or gel.
What size do I need?
It depends on the total load and inrush currents; our engineers size it after a survey.
